With Due dates between the end of July and the beginning of October....I know 15 women so far within my circle of friends/ facebook friends who are pregnant. That's out of people who have told me... i'm sure there are more of them out there keeping it quiet.

and i just keep thinking 1in 4..... 1 in 4!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely heartbreaking. I wish the stupid statistic never existed.

--------------

I have been much more depressed this pregnancy then I was with Truman. With Truman i was literally in a constant state of bliss. Not so much now and i think it's my grief mixed with my hormones.
Everything is just so much harder. I feel like i need help but don't know how to ask for it or even if i could figure that part out, i don't know if i could actually allow someone to help me.
But our living situation as got to change. and I need help cooking and cleaning. and packing for the move. and i need help finding a nice place to live that isn't going to bankrupt us.
and i'm feeling really overwhelmed with it all. I feel like a failure of a mother, wife and pregnant woman because i am just not coping with daily stressors well at all these days.
It's times like this when i really wish that my family members lived near by or a close friend. But they don't. and i have been going it alone for so so so long now. I'm just so tired.

Still waiting on round two of titer test results.
It's taking so long this time it makes me feel like we had a big jump in the numbers or something so they wanted to do it twice or something. It's been 10 days of waiting. I just want my baby to be safe and those titer's to be LOW!!!!!
We went for the NT ultrasound and it appears that Truman will have a little brother! I'm only 14 weeks so i'm not going to run out and start buying stuff for him yet but i'm 98% sure that he is a he. So blog world....

  1. I hope things start looking up soon. With the baby, and with all the other stressful stuff.

  2. Laura - I just read the story of your sweet little Truman. So sorry for your loss - I lost my daughter to preeclampsia last March. It's so heartbreaking. I'll be thinking of your little Remy. I'm sure you're so overwhelmed right now, but sending you good thoughts

  3. Laura~ It is so hard to do anything when you are so stressed out. All functioning brain space goes to focusing on that baby and trying to will him into a healthy living state. That is the truth. Everything else is so secondary. So the world will fall apart and yet continue on without you doing what you think you need. Let it be. Send all your love to the boy. Remington. I know that is not possible, things do need to get done and all that, but, its just hard, I get that. I want to know how you came up with his name?

  4. Wise words as usual my friend, thank you for getting it.
His name just popped into my head out of no where before I even conceived and it felt like fate, like hands down that would be the name of my next child and like he was always meant to be. Jeff and I took foreverrr deciding on Truman's name and it was somewhat of a brawl and one that I wasn't looking forward to repeating with the name game with this one. I told Jeff the name and he really liked it... When I reminded him that his favorite X-men character "Gambit's" real name was Remy Le Beau, it sealed the deal in his mind. Lol!
And Remy's middle name, Crawford, is Jeff's middle name and a family name.
After we decided on the name I pulled out the book "Plum Gorgeous" which is a cook book written and photographed on the property in Big Sur where we had our photographs taken on our wedding day. It's a seriously magical place... There were so many coincidences that day and i felt like i was living out this crazy amazing dream.... anyways... the photographers last name on the book is Remington. Maybe that's how it subconsciously seeped into my brain?- I don't know. I'm just glad we both like it and the name game never even began with this little guy!

  6. He could not be more gorgeous - unless, maybe, his picture included an older brother, standing on tiptoe, watching, waiting.

He is not less gorgeous because Truman is not there watching; I just miss them *together*.

    How much more, you.

  7. Whoa! Love the name, love that he's on his way.

Like Renel said, send that boy all your love. Everything else will get done, or not. But he's on his way.

I wish I could help you out, physically. All I can do is send you lots of love and good health and well wishes. So happy for you guys. I just wish, like Cathy, Truman was here to kiss his little brother all over.
